Lots of Crinkles

I made this quick little quilt the other day - just some simple piecing (inspired by photos I saw on Elnora's instagram feed) and a flower motif for quilting in the center of each block.  I use the flower design for quilting quite often but I have never had a quilt get so crinkly!

While I really love the crinkles, it made it challenging to photograph.

I tried different angles, different lighting situations - even different camera lenses but the result was always the same - the crinkles won!

  2. Did you wash it before the photos? I try to do my photos before washing so I don't have to fight the crinkles as much. Cute quilt!

  3. It is gorgeous! The crinkles on my quilts always win but I think that has more to do with my lack of photography skills!

  4. Crinklier the better! I think that's why I'm still not quite in love with straight line quilting.

  6. What a cute quilt! I love the simple design - really lets the fabrics shine. This is an interesting question about how to photograph it with the crinkles. Maybe a polarizing filter would help? I'm just guessing....

  12. love the colors of this quilt and love the snuggly crinkles! I usually take my pictures before I wash my quilts so I don't have to worry about them. Well, that and I'm extremely impatient. But we'll blame it on the crinkles. haha!
