I feel so lucky that I was able to work with another one of Birch Fabric's wonderful fabric lines. This one is Charley Harper - this line is filled with absolutely adorable prints and several lovely blenders. I'm sure it would come as no surprise to those of you who regularly read about my projects that I would choose to highlight the novelty prints! The tutorial for this quilt is on the Birch Fabrics blog (click here) and you can see the whole line by clicking here - I think it is coming out later this month!
So adorable. I caught my breath the first time I saw this!

So, so sweet. Your design is so open and clean, which shows off the awesome illustrations in the fabrics instead of competing with them. (and that pop of yellow solid framing the bluebird!) Fighting the urge to hoard this fabric for any future babies of mine. ;)
ReplyDeleteI just love your baby quilts - simple designs but so stunning :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is stunning, we were introduced to Charley Harpers work last year and my daughter loves it, this fabric will have to go on the wish list!
ReplyDeleteLove it! I love Birch Fabrics too!
ReplyDeleteGreat tutorial! This is definitely a line I want to hoard for possible future babies!
ReplyDeleteI love a good novelty fabric too, nothing wrong with that! This looks great, and lucky you. :o)
ReplyDeleteGreat pattern and perfect use of those sweet fabrics :)
ReplyDeleteI love this patten! it highlights the novelty prints so beautifully
ReplyDeleteYah! That cardinal is so sweet.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful quilt. Love how you have featured the fabrics, Beth.
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty and fresh! I love the pattern and those fabrics are awesome!
ReplyDeletei am dying...this is adorable....i want this fabric!!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome, Beth! This is a great looking modern baby quilt...I think it would look good in any fabric, but of course it looks so good in these Birch fabrics. Who doesn't love birds? I'm definitely going to have to get the print with the cardinal.
ReplyDeleteI just looked to find the fabric and the Finch Sewing Studio has it on Etsy. Now I just have to wait until payday to get it;)
ReplyDeleteHey, I was wondering what the fabric feels like. I've ordered Monaluna and it felt a little thicker or stiffer than regular quilting cotton. Also, do you think a fat quarter is enough of the bird tending the bird in the nest (on blue) to get a good fussy cut? It is hard to tell how big the scale is. Thanks!
