I posted about this triangle quilt way back in November 2013 but as was pointed out in the comments, I didn't have any photos of the entire quilt in the post. So over the weekend, I enlisted my tallest quilt holder and took some more photos on a beautiful spring day.
This still is one of my most favorite quilts that I have made. It is far from perfect in many ways - at least half of the triangle points are missing, the medium gray print triangle blends in too much with the gray background, and while I love the medium blue Lotta print, I don't think it actually fits with the palette.
But enough with the negative, I like pretty much everything else about this quilt - I just wish I had made it larger!
I'm entering this quilt into this spring's Blogger's Quilt Festival.
I think it's beautiful - wouldn't change a thing about it!!
ReplyDeleteI love it! Such soft, pretty colors.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteThat is one lovely quilt Beth and I don't see any flaws. Thanks for inspiring.

We are our own worst critiques! I see nothing wrong and really like how the blue plays with the other colors ;)
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun quilt. I am a big fan of triangles. I love the colors.
ReplyDeleteI love it, especially the colors you chose. I'm working on a triangle quilt myself and I'm to the point of joining all of the rows. Now you have me contemplating adding solid strips in between the rows. I really like the look. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLove this quilt! It kind of reminds me of a a different take on a chevron quilt! good work!
ReplyDeleteI like your own approach to triangle quilt. The color combo is also looking good to me :)
ReplyDeleteI love the triangles and the colors are perfect! I like the way the grey triangles blend with the grey strips. Looks like you did something tricky with your fabric! I did that myself on a tumbler quilt. Love the quilt and it goes perfect with the spring day!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! That background grey adds a lot of texture to it.
ReplyDeleteI think this is beautiful! And all those things you mention just give it personality, as far as I can tell. :) (Also, I didn't notice them.) Beautiful quilt!
ReplyDeleteVery soft and pretty.
ReplyDeleteДуже гарне поєднання кольорів!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the beautiful pastel colours and spring feel to this quilt.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Anne; I love how the things we call imperfections become so integral to the personality of our quilts. And I love how you embraced this one as a favorite - it's beautiful and worthy of the status!
ReplyDeleteI think you've achieved two things with this quilt that are hard to do: it's different and it's enticing. Also, I hope I'm not still a no-reply blogger. I fixed it (again) and also asked Typepad to check it. . they said it looked okay. . .
ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful quilt. I absolutely love of the soft colors with the gray. Just lovely! I can understand why is one of your favorites.
ReplyDeleteI really really love this! I just finished my first ever quilt top and may try this next. If I can figure out how to finish this first quilt! Ha! I've discovered quilting is harder than it looks!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous. I actually really love the things about it that you don't. I think it gives the quilt more character--- and that blue really makes the quilt pop.
