I made this quick little quilt the other day - just some simple piecing (inspired by photos I saw on Elnora's instagram feed) and a flower motif for quilting in the center of each block. I use the flower design for quilting quite often but I have never had a quilt get so crinkly!
While I really love the crinkles, it made it challenging to photograph.
Super sweet!
ReplyDeleteI love super crinkly quilts, and this one is so sweet too Beth. Great job!!!
ReplyDeleteDid you wash it before the photos? I try to do my photos before washing so I don't have to fight the crinkles as much. Cute quilt!
ReplyDeleteIt is gorgeous! The crinkles on my quilts always win but I think that has more to do with my lack of photography skills!
ReplyDeleteCrinklier the better! I think that's why I'm still not quite in love with straight line quilting.
ReplyDeleteI do love the crinkles! Such a soft pretty quilt.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute quilt! I love the simple design - really lets the fabrics shine. This is an interesting question about how to photograph it with the crinkles. Maybe a polarizing filter would help? I'm just guessing....
ReplyDeletevery sweet. I want one my size to cuddle with.
ReplyDeleteLove it crinkles and all!!
ReplyDeleteBut the crinkles make it look so cuddly! I love it :)
ReplyDeleteCrinkly quilts are the best! But I've had that problem too with taking pictures of it. But this looks so cute!
ReplyDeleteSo cute!
ReplyDeleteThe crinkles won... as they should! I love that you photograph your quilts post-wash. That's when they're the best!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! This is a very Plum and June quilt - I knew it had to be one of yours just from the thumbnail photo that popped up in my reader.
ReplyDeletelove the colors of this quilt and love the snuggly crinkles! I usually take my pictures before I wash my quilts so I don't have to worry about them. Well, that and I'm extremely impatient. But we'll blame it on the crinkles. haha!

ReplyDeletethis is such a sweet little quilt! I think I might need to try this...it seems like a great way to use scraps!
ReplyDeleteThe crinklier the better! I love how washing and drying changes the texture. Very pretty quilt!

ReplyDeletelove this little quilt, it looks so wonderfully soft and comfy.
ReplyDeleteCute and crinkly! Crinkly and cut!
ReplyDeleteI often find the same problem in photography. I've started doing some reading on it. Hopefully I find a solution and will share it. Buuuut probably not. :)
Fun Beth!
ReplyDeleteThe crinkles always win, which is how it should be. I love super crinkly quilts like this one. It's lovely!
ReplyDeleteThose are some powerful crinkles! I love the colors, it's such a bright and fun quilt.
ReplyDeleteThe crinkles make it look lovely and cosy!
ReplyDeleteIt is so pretty, crinkles and all! Crinkly quilts make me so happy :D. I've started taking my pictures in the morning shade and that helps a little, but sometimes the crinkles just want to be seen!
ReplyDeleteSi sweet. I love the crinkles! The photos are perfect. They show every detail crinkles and quilt design.
