  3. I haven't gotten much time to read lately... but my favorite cookbook right now is by Pioneer Woman. She has step by step photos with her recipes, and everything looks so delicious... and now I'm hungry, haha!

  4. Haven't read much since I started quilting/sewing a few weeks ago. But one of my favorite series is Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove books; which incidentally has just been made into a tv series (first episode was very good).

  9. I'd suggest a favorite Minnesota storyteller, Kevin Kling. His book, The Dog Says How - though a slim volume - is really a fun set of stories for bedtime (adults and kids.)

    For older children (girls) I would recommend the Flambards books by K.M. Peyton. They are from the 70s, but still great. At least if you like to read about the time around WW I and if you love horses.

  65. A children's series that is still re-read long into adulthood by many is the Swallows&Amazons series by Arthur Ransome. 1930's books about kids messing about in boats, having camping adventures etc.

  105. The book, Patisserie. It is nothing but food porn. At 5.5 lbs, this pink book with it's 3200 photographs is like walking into a French pastry shop. Please wear a bib while paging through it and eat before, because you will be drooling and hungry. My oldest daughter's best friend is studying pastry and will be getting one for Christmas. As will I and my daughter (we live 1700 miles apart).

I don't seem to get time to read real books anymore, but adore quilting books, my newest purchase is Lu Summers Quilt Improv book, i did the class with her at FQR and it was fab, she's a great teacher, and the book is well worth a purchase (not released until September in the shops though). x

    One of the best books I read is called Raptor Red. Not really my normal taste, but it was so exciting and interesting. I recommend it for anyone 13 and up.
